I am a self taught abstract artist based in Australia, creating large scale works driven by colour, movement, energy and intuition.
I am passionate about creating art that feels expressive, immersive and alive. Much of my inspiration comes from the natural world around me, particularly the ocean, reefs, changing tides and Australian landscapes, as well as places and moments experienced while travelling.
Rather than painting these subjects literally, I translate their feeling into layers of acrylic, oil and texture. Colour, movement and energy guide each piece as it develops, allowing the work to evolve intuitively rather than following a fixed plan.
Texture is an important part of my practice and a signature element across my work. Built up surfaces, sweeping marks and layered details allow the paintings to change with the light and reveal something different depending on where they are viewed from.
Every original is created individually in my Gold Coast studio and is designed to bring presence, movement and personality into a space.
